Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

TourByte Inc runs beaniebrand and is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests go to hello@beaniehq.com.

2. What we collect

  • Your email address and a password, which our sign-in provider stores hashed. We never see it.
  • What you type: company descriptions, names and notes about characters.
  • What we make for you: the characters we draw and the kits we build.
  • Purchases: what you bought, when, what you paid, and whether your account has claimed a free kit. Card details and your billing address go to our payment processor, never to us.
  • Basic technical logs, such as request times and errors, to keep the service running.
  • Visit statistics: which pages are viewed, the site that linked to us, and the visitor's country and city, browser and device type. They are counted without cookies and are not linked to your account or IP address.
  • Product activity: attempts to generate characters, generation results, signups, checkout attempts, purchases and kit download links issued. PostHog processes these in the United States. Signed-in activity is linked to your account ID; we also record campaign labels from links you follow and the referring website domain to understand which promotions lead to product use. We do not send your email, descriptions, passwords, card details or download URLs to PostHog. Session recording is off.

3. Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: the ones that keep you signed in, and, if you run out of rounds, one that holds what you had typed for up to an hour, so it is still there after you buy more. No analytics cookies or advertising cookies. PostHog uses browser local storage to remember campaign labels and an analytics identifier and connect visits and product activity on this site. We do not use it to track you across other sites.

4. Who processes it

We use a small number of service providers to run beaniebrand. Each gets only what its job needs:

  • PostHog for product analytics, including activity linked to your account ID.
  • Cloud hosting, a database, sign-in and file storage, in the United States. The hosting provider also counts the visit statistics.
  • AI model providers, which receive your descriptions and notes to write character ideas and check them, and which draw and check the images.
  • An email delivery service, which sends sign-in and password emails, and tells us when someone creates an account, with their email address and when they signed up.
  • A payment processor, which is also the seller of record for what you buy: it takes your card details and billing address directly, charges you, handles sales tax and sends your receipt, under its own privacy policy, which you accept at checkout.

Each of these providers handles what it receives under its own privacy policy, and some may use it to improve their AI models. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you. For the current list of providers, email hello@beaniehq.com.

5. How long we keep it

Your projects are kept for as long as you have an account. When an account is deleted, we delete its projects, characters and kits from our systems. The large working images made while building a kit are deleted 7 days after the kit is finished. Purchase records, and the record that a free kit was claimed, are kept as long as tax law requires, including after the account is deleted, but no longer linked to it. The payment processor keeps its own record of each purchase.

6. Your choices and rights

You can see your projects at any time, and delete your account yourself: sign in, open Your brands and choose Delete my account at the bottom of the page. That deletes your account and everything in it, and it cannot be undone. To ask for a copy of your data or a correction, email hello@beaniehq.com and we will do it within 30 days. You can also email us to request removal of your account-linked analytics records. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

We use your data to provide beaniebrand to you, which is the legal basis for almost all of it, and to keep it secure. Purchase records we keep because tax law requires it.

7. Where it is processed

Our services run mainly in the United States. If you are outside it, your data is transferred there, under the safeguards those providers offer.

8. Children

beaniebrand is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will post changes here and change the date at the top, and email you if a change matters.
